Nigeria Government and Borrowing: HELP NEEDED! By Nsisong Ekong Please I need an education on this. Kindly help if you have an insight regarding this. And before you make some erroneous conclusions, I hereby  state here clearly that I'm not a member of the People's Democratic Party, PDP. At least for now, lol.  This post has nothing to do with political party affiliation, it stems from a careful observation, an unbiased reasoning, and then drums a call for accountability. I read the other day that the Federal Government wants to borrow, or, maybe, has now borrowed Ñ1.92Trillion to augment the 2020 budget which clinched at Ñ10.33Trillion, this made me weep profusely. Earnestly speaking, we're so reckless and irresponsible, especially when we find our way to governance. We lack accountability and transparency in our leadership. We don't have any justification to go for borrow, methinks. This simple analysis below is a backup to my above assertion. ANALYSIS ...
Political Sycophant: Like work?  By Patrick Ekong You can accuse them for all I care.  That's the demand and the booming industry if you want to have a good life, where you can afford a good meal and a flamboyant life style.  After all,  the country is like that, for you to flourish,  you must join the band wagons of character assassinator to label those in the opposing camp what ever the information ridden society is yarning to hear. It is the trend per norms that when the clock dance towards the political season,  political Sycophant of all educational standards will dip their hands to deploy the tool of writing to wet the social media which is the most affordable  arena they can gather sympathizes  and perhaps innocent people to feed them with misleading content in order to remain relevant to their pay masters.  This mockery situation concise with  the present situation where youths are jobless and even the devil is bewilde...
Social Media: Are we swallowed by it? It is alarming yet no longer news the rate of social media usage since the turn of the millennium. Social Media has become a tool in nearly every 9/ 10 persons we meet everyday of our lives. In fact it is estimated that youth particularly engaged in social Media taking 8/9 hours a day out of the 24hrs. Without doubt, social media has come to enhance and add more meaning to our daily life. Since the advent of social media in the early part of the millennium, the rate people get involve in these wonderful platforms keep increasing on a daily basis. To some youth and some fraction of older people, social media is like oxygen. They can't stay a moment without. A lady once said that she can't stay without visiting her Facebook page in a day. With the number of people flooding the Social media on per second basis, one will wonder if these technology has any bad effect at all. Millions of people use social media as it is the trend now, ...
THE TRUE ESSENCE OF PICTURES Pictures say it all. Pictures connect us with our past. Pictures  offer us the chance to compare our past with our present. Pictures endear our friends to us the more. Pictures tell a thousand stories about us. Pictures is often time the only evident that we once existed.  Pictures is just more than taking photographs of ourselves but a unique way to also express our situation and our emotions. With pictures we tell others that we have arrived. With pictures we leave for our grandchildren memories of our time. With pictures we express ourselves just the way we want. Pictures are the only thing we can truly use in telling our stories as time goes by. I hope you save your picture as it is the only means to look at your past, compare with the present and sometimes reshape the future. Pictures in a nutshell shows the blessings of God in your life and how you have been transformed. May God Almighty bless and keep us. In Jesus Christ Name. A...
THE POLITICAL INGRATE By Patrick Ekong In less than 62 hours, political leaders we elected will climb the podium of political euphoria and grasp the mic of political master of ceremony on 29 May. With the expectations high and with the political state of affairs in a country nursing democracy, the political onlookers and their loyal supporters stare with  their eyes fixed in anticipation. A democratic state like the one we live in is characterized by some factors and persons that have either help in dwindling the growth of the nation's politicking or have contributed their quota toward the development of this country of ours. Be it as it may, it's high time political leaders inhale into their sub-consciousness that the political mindset of the people is gradually changing and as such it would be difficult if not impossible to buy the mandate from the people with peanuts in due time again. If they like let them play with the people's mandate and b...
The STAGGERING NATURE of Nigeria's POLITICAL JUSTICE. By Patrick Ekong                   it is  with abysmal disdain that I scribble this piece from aluta battle field what has played out in the ELECTION PETITIONS TRIBUNAL across Nigeria's political sphere. Like WARLORDS who would do anything in a battle field to ensure victory remain in his camp, POLITICAL HEAVYWEIGHTS of Nigerian politics have done just about anything and everything for them to remain in the game. In every camp from top to bottom, political table shakers  has payed their Piper in order to detect the tune of the music that would come forth from it. Commoners and political audience watch with keen attention and with hope that by and large that the odd will be in favour of who they had truly voted for, not knowing that the gongs in the hands of Judges supre tending the petitions tribunals have been adjusted to tilt to the highest bidder. Year in yea...
