My name is Mandy Agbajama, and I want to say a huge thank you to Patrick for giving me the privilege to share my little piece with you guys. Most importantly, this article is for you if you are drowned in self- doubt.
What difference would it make in your life if you had unshakable confidence in your ability to achieve anything you put your mind to? According to Honore de Balzac, “When you doubt your power, you give power to your doubt.” Let's face it; this is true. Sometimes we bit ourselves with so much negativity that it overpowers our strength and the faith we should have in ourselves. It gets worse when life gets complicated. It beats you down when you struggle to stand up against it. I know a lot of people struggle and are struggling with this. I went through it. However, the only solution is overcoming that negativity, called self-doubt.
First, you have to build your thought. Just like I established earlier, negative thoughts will only make you see yourself with fewer abilities and capabilities to succeed. Also, be conscious of the people you talk to, people who you listen to either uplift or drain you. Hence, I advise you to surround yourself with positive people who will motivate and push you to do better.
Even more, Positive affirmation is valuable. Take charge of your thoughts and become more self-aware. Use positive words. Personally, when I find myself in situations like this, I say words like, i can do it. I am successful. I am a winner; I am great. I am strong; I am Talented. Trust me; this works all the time.
Besides, please work hard. Hard work, positive affirmation, positive thinking and self- believe works hand in hand. You can't sit idle and expect all your dreams to come to fruition by just being positive. No, that's not how the world works. You have to work towards your goals, put in the effort, persevere, remain consistent and have faith in yourself. Then things will work for you.
Don't get discouraged when it feels slow when it feels like all your effort isn't putting forth what you expect. It's only a matter of time. Trust God, and do your best.
Once again, Thank you Patrick, for allowing me to share my piece on your platform. I hope you guys enjoyed reading this. Have a fantastic day ahead.
