The pains of being used and dumped comes with grinding of teeth and regret when one remember.
It is actually what it is that we have allowed ourselves to be used by some persons to advance their selfish course.
From relationships, church, political fold etc, we give in too much not knowing the intent of the other person since we can't read their heart's message.
Politically, lots of political mobilisers, grassroots campaigners, and even individual who at one point felt they were doing the right thing have been used and dumped by those they felt was their man.
"Do you know that my incumbent l.g.a chairman, during his campaign, asked me to sell my car in order for me to help him actualised his dream of becoming the chairman....."
".... afterwards he didn't pick my calls as often has he used to call me when he was nursing his intention." (name withheld).
This has always been the case in politics and other sphere of life but the annoying part is that we have failed to learn our lessons.
Political thugs, boys as they would loved them to be called, campaigners, mobilisers and supporters have had to swallow their bitter pills as most of the political aspirants used a lot of them to advance their self-centered course.
I have just read about one Mr (name withheld) declaring his intention for one political office in Mkpat Enin LGA as we dance towards the chairmanship elections calendar.
My concern for Mkpat Enin LGA is the credibility of the aspirants for the chairmanship seat bearing in mind what we have been experiencing over the years.
My concern is also on Mkpat Enin students' welfare across all the institution of higher learning in Nigeria.
My concern is further on who really have the interest of Mkpat Enin youths at heart.
Not some kind of chairman that would used Mkpat Enin youths to actualised his dream and after dumped them for good.
My concern is a chairman that will be picking your calls without you having to call PAs.
