I just stumbled on a post on my Facebook news feed from someone who happens to share the same political enclave with myself.
The said post reads in part, "the party is supreme."
With shock, I wonder the rationale behind the post made by this individual.
Party is supreme? Yes! When the party hierarchy make informed decisions that reflects the sentiment of the majority of its members.
Party is supreme when general interest supersedes individual interest.
Party is not supreme when the party hierarchy allow the opinion and selfish interest of its selected party elders and deacons outweighs the general opinion of the members.
Party is not supreme when the most preferred candidate for elections is not given ticket by the party hierarchy just because they see the said candidate as someone that will come and outshine them.
Party is not supreme when mediocrity is preferred instead of credibility.
And before you continue shouting
Party is supreme! party is supreme!!
Remember that that is what is keeping Mkpat Enin where it is today. Bunglers instead of credibility.
We as party members have the right to question some decisions of the party when it does not reflect majority voice.
Remember party is no party without members and supporters.
Be bold enough to question what is not right..
