CONTEMPT AND THE DETRACTOR, the Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency syndrome

"You don't have to set yourself on fire before you can keep others warm" - anonymous. The above catchphrase  requires no further process to distill it true  meaning to anyone who seeks warm especially in the cool weather of the political harmattan that will soon be blowing us in a year or so. It is totally wrong for political schemers  of Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency to always fan embers of disunity, and hatred by purveying and planting seeds of discord in every eve of the political season to try to instigate political uproar in the Federal constituency.  Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency which is made up of three LGAs of Ikot Abasi,  Mkpat Enin and Eastern Obolo, has over the years enjoyed political stability thanks to the knowledgeable disposition of our political forebearers who saw the need to dissect once mighty Ikot Abasi LGA in the then Oppobo division of Cross River State perhaps for the few (but not limited) reasons: ● EASE OF ADMINISTRATI...

NOT BY HOW LONG WE HAVE DATED....

"This is not happening..... sixth invitation card from friends just this year alone?... Nne turned over the invitation card her friend Ekom gave her that evening at the close of work. She sat down, looking towards one direction as countless thoughts flow in her mind.  "... How can I possibly date him for 3 years without words of marriage? Tony must tell me my position in this relationship...  Emem, my girlfriend dated for just three months and the next thing I got was a marriage invitation.... Nne lamented, sitting on the edge of the divan that lie close to the medium size refrigerator in the sitting room. The sitting room is semi furnished with rough carpet on the floor, a glass centre table with remote control on it and a flower vest. Picture of Tony and Nne on his last birthday in a big frame lay close to the mirror near where a 24 inches plasma TV hang. On the wall is a big wall clock hanging adjacent to Tony's family picture. Two executive chairs, each facing the o...

LIST OF sycophants, the Akwa Ibom case

The recent uproar par jamboree of  LIST of SYCOPHANTS bankrolled by the state government to defend this indefensible administration is a clear pointer to how myopic this butterfly administration is; to the extent that the cable sees public opinion and call for good governance as being detrimental to the growth of corruption in the state hence, the need to pay idiots and hungry individuals to sing praises. If you look at the online media space particularly FACEBOOK, educated fools, full grown idiots, and hungry/shameless individuals especially those names on the LIST have been flooding this space on a daily basis, feeding the information riden society of audio achievements ocastrated by paid sycophancy, brainwashing and also playing on the collective intelligence of the people of Akwa Ibom state.  Let it be known that the LIST is just half of how deep sycophancy has eaten into the fabrics of our political institutions. Do a little research into the local government level...
